HKWSA: SHA's Commendation for Chris Howarth
 
Dear Members & Friends,
 
We would like to report a good news that Chris Howarth, HKWSA's Hon.
Treasurer has recently received the Secretary of Home Affairs Mr. Patrick
Ho Chi Ping's commendation to recognize his contribution to Hong Kong's
sport community in the last 25 years. A special commendation certifcate
as well as a medal have been awarded to Chris at a special ceremony.
 
Chris is no stranger to the water ski community in Hong Kong as well as in
the world. Besides currently serving as Hon. Treasurer for HKWSA, he has
previously also served in the Hon. Secretary & Treasurer, Vice Chairman
and Chairman capacities. Internationally he is currently also holding
positions of Treasurer for the IWSF and Secretary General for IWSF Asia-
Australasia Region. Besides water skiing, Chris is also very active with
the Hong Kong Rugby Union. He was instrumental for the early success of
the Hong Kong Rugby Seven when he was serving as the Finance Director of
the HK Rugby Union in the eighties.
