HKWSA: Exciting Wakeboard Events Coming Up
 
Dear Members & Friends,
 
We would like to bring your attention to the following exciting water ski
& wakeboard events that are coming up at the Tai Po Waterfront Park in the
next couple of weeks:
 
Saturday, June 30, 2007 at 2:15 - 3:00 pm Ski & Wakeboard Demo
HKWSA top skiers and riders including Jon Cannon, Wan Ka Choi, Ronnie
Cheung, Andrew Cheung, etc. will be performing water ski and wakeboard
demo at the Land-Sea-Air Carnival organized by the Tai Po District Council
and Home Affairs Department to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the HKSAR
establishment. Besides water ski and wakeboard actions, there are also
exhibitions, boat parade and air shows to entertain the public.
 
Sunday-Monday, July 1-2, 2007 9 am - 5 pm - Wakefest 2007 & Hong Kong
National Wakeboard Championships
This is a HKWSA organized 10th Anniversary Celebration event to provide a
competition platform for riders of all levels in Hong Kong. The Wakefest
event had been very popular in the past two years attracting a lot of
competitors and spectators and we are expecting to see exciting actions
again this year. Local winners in Intermediate and above divisions would
have the opportunity in representing Hong Kong in regional tournaments and
be able to participate in HKWSA organized development activities. We
also expect top overseas riders to compete in Wakefest 2007.
 
Sunday, July 8, 2007 9 am - 6 pm - Billabong Asian Wakeboarding Championships
HKWSA is a supporting organization for this event which features top riders
from the region. Event divisions from Novice to Open are available to
local riders to enter. Riders who won in their divisions in the Wakefest
2007 event the week before could still be eligible to enter the same
division for the July 8 event.
 
We look forward to seeing your all in Tai Po Waterfront Park in the
upcoming weeks to support our riders and enjoy the excitement even if you
are not competing.
