Updates on Recent Wakeboard Results

Riders from HKWSA had recently participated in some overseas wakeboard
events with mixed results. Wan Ka Choi was an invited rider for the 2007
World Cup - Singapore Stop which was held on Sept. 22-23, 2007. Facing
tough world class competition from US and Australia pro riders, Choi was
eliminated at the first round. The Men's event was eventually won by
Philip Soven with Jeff weatherall and Daniel Watkins in 2nd and 3rd place
respectively. Chen Li Li of China came 4th in the Women's event which was
won by Dallas Friday.
 
Closer to home, the Hong Kong wakeboard team performed well at the China
National Water Ski Championship which was held in Beijing on Sept. 19-21,
2007. Ronnie Cheung won the wakeboard event with Andrew Cheung coming in
5th and Johnson Hui in 6th place. The Hong Kong team also placed 2nd in
the Wakeborad Team award.
