HK Junior Excels in Wakeboard World Championships

Dear Members and Friends,

At the 2007 IWSF Wakeboard World Championships completed last weekend in
Doha, Qatar, Hong Kong junior rider Julien Briestroff took sixth place in
the finals of the Boys Division.  This is the first time a Hong Kong skier/rider
has achieved such a high standing in a world championships.

Other HK riders Ronnie Cheung and Wan Ka Choi were unfortunately eliminated at
the LCQ of the Men's Open Division.  However, Ronnie took third place and
Choi fourth place in the Asian awards which was won by Kim Yong-il of Korea
with Luo Jian of China placing second.

Chen Lili of China and Sasha Christian of Singapore placed third in the Women's
Open and Girls Divisions respectively.  Please refer to www.iwsf.com for
the full results.

Congratulations to Julien for his excellent result at the Worlds and to Ronnie
and Choi for their nice trying.
