HK Riders Reached Quarter Finals at 2011 World Wakeboard Championships in Milan 

Dear Members & Friends,

We are glad to report that Hong Kong riders CHEUNG Ho Lung (Ronnie) and Julien BREISTROFF performed well at the 2011 World Wakeboard Championships held at Milan, Italy last week. Both of them came third in their respective quarter-final heats and barely missed a place in the semi-finals. The Men's and Women's Open Champions were won by Harley CLIFFORD (AUS) and Raimi MERRIT (USA) respectively.

The Asian women riders also did well in the event with CHEN Lili (CHN) taking 4th place in the Women's Open. HAN Qiu (CHN) and DUAN Zheunkun (CHN) took 1st and 2nd place and Sasha CHRISTIAN (SIN) came in 5th in the Junior Women's finals. China captured 6th place in the Team Overall based on the strong performance from their women riders. The Hong Kong team placed 25th overall out of 34 teams.
